On 27 January 2022, the Armenia Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) Steering Committee meeting were held virtually. Armenia FETP-Frontline Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 training courses’ accomplishments, lessons learned, and suggestions for improvement were discussed by the MoH, NCDCP, FSIB, NIH leadership, the Armenia FETP trainers/mentors and the Resident Advisor. One of the key points of the meeting was the institutionalization of the FETP-Frontline and FETP-Intermediate programs in Armenia. The SC members agreed that it is important that the Armenia FETP should integrate and should be offered to human health and animal health professionals.
FETP Frontline Cohort 1 training began on 01 March 2021 at the National Institute of Health.
12 Armenian public health and veterinary epidemiologists completed the FETP-Frontline Cohort 1 training.
FETP-Frontline Cohort 2 training began on 13 September 2021 at the National Institute of Health.
